Rin Liminal Switch Volumes Two And One

Rin Liminal Switch Volumes Two and One was released on compact disc in 1998. It was packaged in a fold over heavy weight paper cover, with a couple of inserts.

Tracks 7-20 were released on vinyl as Rin Liminal Switch Volume One.

Tracks 3, 4, 5, and 16 were recorded on 1/4” 8-track reel-to-reel tape for a 10” record that was eventually scrapped.

Track 20 was recorded on a 4-track cassette deck.

The remaining songs were recorded live to cassette, usually via whatever cheap microphones and shoddily constructed homemade contact mics/pick-ups were on hand.  The only overdub was the backing vocal tacked onto “Shadowed Torches.” Audible bumps and scrapes against the mics and wires duct taped to the instruments occurred on several of the tracks.

The Robert Minor backcover drawing of “The Golden Rule” originally appeared on the front cover of the January 15, 1916 edition of The Blast newspaper.

In August of 1999, Spirit of Orr reissued the Rin Liminal Switch Volumes Two and One CD in a jewel case with dawn’s cover art from the vinyl edition of Rin Liminal Switch Volume One.
